Vocal Rollercoaster
We sometimes call these vocal slides — and yep, they’re as fun as they sound.
It’s a simple glide from low to high and back down again, helping you connect your whole range without forcing anything.
How To Do It:
-
Start on a low, comfy note
somewhere in your speaking range.
-
Glide up slowly
on a gentle sound like a lip trill, “he”, “woo”, or any sound that feels easy for you.
-
Go as high as feels comfortable
then glide smoothly back down.
-
Repeat a few times
keeping it light, playful, and connected.
What to Focus On:
-
Smooth transitions
no jumps or breaks between low and high notes
-
Consistent airflow
like a gentle sigh or yawn
-
Relaxation
in your throat, jaw, and neck
-
No pushing
stay in a range that feels stretchy but safe
-
Connection
feel how your voice moves through chest, mix, and head without switching harshly
